Title: HP question
Post by: Shimy87 on October 09 2014, 11:15:29 AM
Just for curiosity, has anyone every gotten any dyno numbers for a stockish buick spraying alky? People always ask me at car shows and I really have no idea?

Thanks!

I've run those calculators at wallaceracing. com and there are an assload of ways to calculate it, but using time, speed and weight of the car, my stuff came up just short of 390 hp.  Never been on a dyno

There are a few variables involved as one would expect.  I would guess 425 at 25 psi of boost on a healthy engine at the rear tires.

Joe Lubrant came up with this many years ago   http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc/lubrant.html (http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc/lubrant.html)   I think it is a good guide

Easy, F=MA

That calc is a little simplistic as it assumes all cars have the same driveline losses.
