I'm incredibly fortunate that my home track is only 35 minutes away...and there's an event on almost every weekend. There's about a half dozen of us that race together...all with different vehicles. My buddy Steve with the turbo'd Hayabusa recently purchased a 37 foot toy hauler...so now we have air conditioning. :D

Racing is always a good way to spend a weekend.
I spent mine at Heavy MTL (Montreal) listening to over 20 hours of non-stop 90+dB Heavy Metal with my best buds (who are also middle-aged metal heads).
The two days included Overkill, Pennywise, Three Days Grace, Dropkick Murphys, Anthrax, The Offspring, Metallica, Cancer Bats, Exodus, Symphony X, Body Count, Hatebreed, Bad Religion, Twisted Sister, Lamb of God and Slayer just to name a few.
My left ear is still ringing.

Larry...were the big tire cars up from the States...or locals?
-
Pretty much all BC cars all over the Island and the mainland. There is a great track in Mission that's where the Doorslammers run. They have a circuit that they run in canadawestdoor slammers.com there were a couple 7 second passes made even with the conditions. Track was so bad half the racers didn't make the field they have to run an 8.709 or better to qualify.

That looks like a great line up mike

They stripped 14 years of rubber off the runway for some mook with a Lear Jet that never showed up.........

It really was.
But, all this talk about racing has got me thinking that I should down-tools on the wagon and head to the track on Saturday in the Buick. It is like 12*C outside this morning... in August!
