Title: Rear Lift
Post by: Bob-Lob-Law on July 27 2014, 07:11:13 PM
I just put new rims and tires on my my 84 TType and the wider tires are very close to the outer rear lip.  In looking at the car, the rear still sags even with new springs and shocks.  I would like to raise the rear about 1/2 to 1 inch.  Can anyone recommend the best way to do this?

As always, thanks for all input.

Rear Spring spacers are the least expensive option.......o nly install on the side that is hanging too low.
Alternatively, coil overs (these will cost you $ though).

First & foremost, check your body bushings (if they haven't been replaced you will find they turn to sponge & loose their stiffness when they get old).

I had actually replaced the body bushings and just remembered that the passenger side rear one was rusted through the body and had to leave it.  So, it's sitting about 1/2 inch lower.

Thanks for the advice.  I'll probably go that route.
