Title: Timing Chain Project
Post by: daveismissing on June 26 2014, 10:58:58 AM
Anyone have a "preferred" parts list for timing chain replacement?
TA's or NOS chains have the nod, more concerned about collecting the other bits, gaskets, rear seal etc...

Felpro gasket sets, rework the front cover per Earl's instructions..

This is the timing chain I used:

Just get a one way ticket for Earl to fly down and fix you up.

Fel-Pro TCS45930 will have everything you need except a bottle of The Right Stuff for the pan, and a new Melling pickup if you're still running a stocker with a 'trap door'.

Stock junk from a local parts house runs low 11's all day...and into the 10's when I'm feeling stupid. Earls oil mods are always a good idea.
