I prefer to mount the tire after the wheel is on the car-saves a lot of time when you have a flat if you don't have to get the lug wrench out

17x9.    I just noticed that it has more clearance on this side than it does on the drivers

Nope.... Hotchkiss suspension which lowers the car. Had air shocks on it when I started, tho
