Title: Mr. Racer X
Post by: DCEPTCN on March 16 2006, 02:16:41 PM
I told ya that I'd remind ya when Buckethead's "Secret Recipe" DVD comes out. Well, it was released on Tuesday and I got my copy from Amazon last night. It's sick. I didn't even scratch the surface of it last night. There's video from all the way back in 1989 when he and his friends are hanging out in his bedroom. You know what? Fuck Francesco Farerri and Rusty Cooley- B was better than them when he was a goddamned TEENAGER! I can't even believe how good this motherhumper is.

This is why you MUST bring your video camera. I foresee historic events in April.

Not of the 8 finger tapping ilk, but perhaps.

Thanks man! I am pretty geeked up to see him in April. This will be my Son's first concert ever and he is pretty pumped as well!  :D  I showed him some vids I got off limewire and that was all he needed to see.

Racer (heading for Amazon) X

My Son is just 12, but yeah you're right, taking him to Buckethead for *the* first show is very cool! I think it will be just right. The place is small and Buckethead is not the same as some other acts.

I just got my copy of the DVD in the mail today. Umm, I am not sure what I am seeing here. Pretty disjointed and at times unwatchable, while other times it just flat out rocks.  :rolleyes:

My Son said that Buckethead is the wierdest person he's ever seen!  :rofl;

I only got to 1994 and haven't hit disc two yet..

I needed to come up for air!  :bigeyes;

On the menu screen you can highlight his hands and pull the string in his back, but *WARNING* do not attempt to remove his mask....the DVD punishes you for this by making an awful noise and forcing you to eject and restart the disc.

The disc won't even play on my TV. I had to watch on the computer.

Huh? That's wierd. Ever since my DVD player died, I've just been using the PS2 and it's fine.....?

I finished off the first disc and it did get better. I just didn't need to see the fatbody in the begining rambling on and on.

BH's technique is very cool to see. He plays alot like Vivian Campbell.
