Thanks John

it always helps to tell people what wb you are running, 2 or 3 bar map sensor, and what chip
In this case, I know you have a TT chip and I assume it is a 5.7 version and I assume you have a three bar sensor...but, I don't know what brand of wb you have.
It looks pretty good from what I know. Did not bother with the wb a/f because it was just a guess on my part.
Something tickled the knock sensor when you went wot. I don't know if that was just the load imposed when you went wot from a roll or if you could have a tired engine mount on the drivers side or a downpipe that touched the control arm ear.
It may have been a tad rich up in third gear for running alky, but it was not all that bad. Another pound of boost would probably bring that about perfect. Gives you a margin for error, if nothing else.
Like so many cars, the voltage fell off up in third gear. I don't know if that is the ecm that is doing that, or if it really fell off due to a tired alternator. Only way to know is to hook up a volt meter to the back of the alternator and see what it reads and then again inside the car to something on the IGN-ECM fuse circuit under the dash (pnk/blk) wire.
I like to see the car getting at least 13.5v all the time but the SM reading can be deceptive at times.

Thanks Steve...
I have the Innovate Motorsports 3844 MTX-L. And yes, 3 bar Map.
-
Just a thought-Use a voltage divider and log the voltage with the power logger?
-
I did not see a setting for the mtx and I may be using an older version of PL but when I tried to get something that would be close, the wb display seems to be very choppy and not nearly as smooth as I would expect
-
Looks good to me.
-
Steve,
I used the LC1 setting.... I have an email sent to Eric about the innovate MTX.
It seems very similar to to the innovate LC1.
-
yeah, I tried that one as well...just looked way too choppy to me.
The LC-1 had some smoothing options that could be set as I recall but, it may have been in the software side...don't recall if the PL smoothing option is on record or playback side....heck to get senile!
-
Steve,
Should i switch WB's?
-
No...they are not all that much use for the average guy. Motorhead Mike will come along and tell us that his works fantastically and how to set yours up :D
In the end, we tune for the leanest a/f we can get without incurring detonation. There is no correct number as it is driven by drivetrain combination and ambient conditions.
Therefore, we just remove as much fuel as we can without having timing retard and call it good. On the street, I add a couple of percent back in.
Now, if you had a very sophisticated chip or aftermarket fuel management system, having a wide band for tweaking specific functions might pay off at the track but on the street, I have not seen any benefit other than it gives you something to talk to your buddies about when drinking a cold one. :)
I have seen a couple of guys that had a good a/f number because they kept adding a little more alky periodically until the fuel pump was almost dead before they figured out they were adding alky to compensate for a bad fuel pump. For some reason you almost have to hold a gun on a guy to make him check fuel pressure these days in some cases.

Ok...makes sense to me. I assume that if 02's are good, af's should be in line as well??
-
yep-altho spraying alky can cause some funny things at times between the two
That is the way I found the bad pumps because the two did not make sense to me
