I am trying to help a friend who is working on a GN. so far they have changed module, coil pack, injectors, tt chip, te-60 turbo, ta-headers. the engine seems to idle fine but as soon as you put it under load it has a miss, at one point they pulled the plug wires one at a time while running and the #5 had not change, pulled the plug and cleaned it and it fired on the valve cover so they put it back in. still the same. checked injetor harness with noid light, all were good. i let them use one of my MAF sensors ( at idle 5) , his MAF was jumping between 6-15 at idle. one thing i would like to mention is that he has a digital dash and it is freaking out just numbers on a non stop loop.

have they put a new plug in #5?
Make sure the coil module assembly is bolted tightly to the bracket and the bracket is tight to the intake....no powdercoating on the contact points of the bracket

Be sure #5 has good compression as well
Also, GM warns against pulling wires off while running as it can damage the coil or module

ok put new plug in #5 , still the same, I let them try my extra ECM, still the same. checked compression its good, started pulling injector wires while it was running and the #5 is not working but the wire is with a noid light. tomorrow they will move the injector to a different cyl. to see if it follows. the digital dash is still freaking out with my ECM.

easy to be a bad injector. If it was ignition, you would have both cylinders not firing unless it was a plug wire problem.
I don't have much experience with digital dashes...only had one car a short time with one. The chip could be bad, or a bad connection with the plug, or some big, leaky spark problem. John Spina might offer some suggestions if you can get him on the phone at Caspers

#5 is at it again :chin:
on my car
the #5 injector's pin would work its way out of the socket at the ECM.
i finally replaced both the ecm's sockets/plugs and replaced all questionable pins and that problem was solved.

That was relatively easy. How about the berserk dash?
