How do u install a wide band o2sensor to ur PLC nd how many wire sensor do I need to use got a box of all diff sensors nd to know which to use?
-
a wideband sensor needs a controller box to drive it , those sensors you have are more than ikely just heated o2s most widebands have 5 to 7 wires
plx, innovate (lc-1), aem offer cheap widebands with the controller in the cable under 200 complete with a bosch wideband sensor
once you have one and installed in the downpipe (put it down by the cat connection) the cable will have an analog output wire with a 0-5v range ( lc-1 has two outputs that can be configured to that )
connect the analog out from wideband controller to the aux block of the powerlogger (terminal #1)
-
Get the MTX-L from Innovate... it kicks the crap out of the LC-1 for ease of install and overall functionality; it is full digital unlike older analog setups and costs the same $200. Plus it includes a gauge out of the box!
-
Did Innovate get tired of ignoring questions about the pos LC-1 and take their forums down....???

Don't know why people chose Innovate? They would be my last choice.
-
they had one of the best reputations for accuracy, but, the LC-1 seems to have been problem prone from the beginning and they did not seem to want to acknowledge it. Somewhere in the shop, I have a brand new one that I never bothered to install. It was a replacement for one that failed completely on the first start up...by then, I had another one that would fail every time the voltage went over 14 v. Now the analog is out on it and you know what I said....
I can do a pretty good job tuning open loop and don't give a damn anymore
AEM or PLX would be my normal choices
-
Coming from the import world AEM is poop too.
I would have loved to have had the money for the NGK unit.
-
Maybe I'm just lucky but I haven't had any issues (I know about) with the Bosch sensor & XD-16 guage. Altho I did Knock on Wood 3 times after I hit the post reply button!
-
Lc-1 is better than nothing, but the NGK is the way to go! More robust, with a trade off of slower response time compared to the bosch. Its just the design the surface area to clog with lead is much bigger on the ngk, so it takes longer to fail.

$247 here Jeremey

never had a sensor problem, just the LC1 module itself failing
-
NGK afx with the NTK sensor is awesome.
I'll never buy a innovative unit again!
The afx is only $260 with the NTK sensor :D http://www.hinsonsupercars.com/p-946-ngk-powerdex-afx-wideband-kit.aspx (http://www.hinsonsupercars.com/p-946-ngk-powerdex-afx-wideband-kit.aspx)

That thing only reads to 16.0! I usually set my cruise at 16.0-16.5.....sure is an old school display, but, I guess functional is as functional does

I know I'm a little late since this thread was started on 8/17, but here go
At the time I read a lot of member comparing to what they have and had. I know I wanted to installed my A/F gauge in the pillar pod with the others gauges, (oil pressure, vacuum/Boost).
I decided to go with the Wideband Air/Fuel Ratio PRO

One reason, it goes with the factory digital dash, and it may cost a little more, but I like it.

Off topic but I just had a quick look thru that site. $250 for head studs???
