Title: DoD efficiency
Post by: daveismissing on July 28 2012, 08:47:52 PM
Six Defense Department modernization projects are a combined $8 billion — or 110 percent — over budget and suffering years-long schedule delays — in one case, more than 12 years — a new audit report finds.

Our military been over budget since George Washington was in charge. Nothing new and doesn't concern most.  But spending billions on welfare recipients popping out babies and the new health care laws will break us.

Billion?!  We talking about Billions?  This is chump change these days!  This kinda malarkey is just a diversionary tactic to steer us away from the real problems like welfare that Ed mentioned

Unfortunately, the military has standards today.  The military would be an ideal place to further ones education, learn some job skills, and pick up the discipline that one was not taught at home.

Unfortunately, the government, and its moneyed supporters, are pursuing a "green" agenda at the expense of industry so there are not many places open to employment of said people.  And in that, lies the problem.  Rapidly growing population and Walmart, the Federal Government, and the Fast Food Industry are the principal employers of today.

The United States, and much of the western world, have entered a Post Industrial Age period and it does not bode well for the future.
