ok, i need to know where to buy that circuit board thats held down by two screws sitting in between the heater core and the blower motor(what is that piece called?). One of the prongs rusted off and now the blower motor isn't working. I've yet to find it, and I've looked at a few sites so far. thanks for any help

this?
-
the plug at the top is correct, but the one on the car now has a green circuit board underneath. does this serve the same purpose? i seen this but was unsure
-
that is the one....just a resistor network that lowers the voltage to the fan to change the speeds
-
Ok. thanks gents
-
Gotta love nichrome.

They give us the greens of summers
Makes you think all the world's

I got a Nikon camera
I love to take a photograph
So mama don't take my Kodachrome away.....

Kodak took it away

Do you have electronic climate control? Isn't the blower control module different for the ECC systems?
-
I do have the Electronic climate control. I thought they were diff which is why i havent bought the part yet. Lol. I dont want to get the wrong thing
-
As always, I am probably wrong, but it's the first thing that came to mind.
-
Mines too. I seen the piece the guys referred me too before, but I thought the ECC would use a diff piece. Think I'll purchase anyway. If it doesnt work I just send it back

Here's the schematic for it, definitely not the standard 4 lug one.

I wish i wouldve read this before purchasing. Geesh. Im starting to hate this car.
-
car probably hates you more! :D
-
Im sure it does. Might get rid of it and find something else to do. The Metco Gauge i purchased wont stop leaking. Basically two purchased parts that arent beneficial...
-
They are nice people...get hold of them and tell them
-
which people are you referring to Steve? I talked to nos4gn. They were very nice.
-
I thought you ordered a gauge from Metco?
-
Oh, i did order a gauge from Metco. I was referring to the HVAC blower resistor
-
so tell them it leaks
-
thats my plan tomorrow Steve. thanks. also, what do guys normally use to mount these on the hood? I couldnt find a good spot for it
-
Don't know, I think hood mounted gauges go with hardcore racers, or ricers...
-
Lol. Ok. The gauge is pretty small anyway. guess it would be pointless for it to be mounted. thanks
-
I have always just laid it up by the brakes on the inner fender
-
and when monitoring, under the windshield wiper?
-
yup!
if using a braided line make sure it cannot touch the stud on the back of the alternator
-
The Metco Gauge i purchased wont stop leaking.
teflon tape?
-
Havent considered tape...
