Title: AC lines
Post by: daveismissing on June 01 2012, 08:45:50 AM
Rock are showing 2 different AC line sets for the '98 F150.
one says -Before 4/23/98, w/o Ring Fitting At Accumulator

any easy way to tell which is which?

No other differences? Can you find a build date for the truck?

Look on the driver's side door-should be a tag there that will have the build date as well as other info

Search here with your VIN number.  Then use the oem part number to get the right part. They may be cheaper too. http://www.fordpartsgiant.com/ (http://www.fordpartsgiant.com/)

I had a cartful of parts saved at Rock Auto - I ended up getting the parts from Amazon, cheaper. :O

Looks like its barely an '98- sept '97 build.
as others have suggested seems Ferd has almost universal replacement parts, at least the compressor and condenser appear to interchangeabl e to many vehicles.
