Title: Washed and Polished Elise today
Post by: gbsean on April 21 2012, 08:49:57 PM
no Donna not a Lotus....

I have to admit...in Zaps words.."it is a bad ass car"...

am going to start on repainting her as there are some flaws that you cannot see in pictures...the re is rust breaking thru the paint on the top surfaces as well as many stone chips in the front leading edges

Mine had the same surface rust issues. Took the hood, top and deck lid to bare metal. Used a metal etch treatment then epoxy primer with sandable primer over that then painted with catalyzed enamel. Paint came out so-so. The horizontal areas were fine but being a newbie painter, I was over cautious and shot the sides a little too dry.
