Okay, we looked at the pretty Spitfire.  Now its time for the "Jug" which is one of my favorites.   Big, heavy, ugly, armored like a tank, it had a top speed in the D version of about 430 mph and could climb at over 3000 ft per minute in spite of its great weight.  It had 8 50 cal machine guns, carried bombs and rockets and was hell on ground attacks tho it speed and maneuverabilit y made it a deadly gun fighter as well.
