Title: AN Hoses/fittings
Post by: SuperSix on March 29 2012, 05:12:23 PM
Started building my first AN hoses. I am making some -6AN trans cooler lines.

Any tips to cutting the hoses FLUSH?
Using an air cut off wheel, I tried duct tape - it sucked, tightly wound electrical tape, sucked a bit less, and then a small hose clamp, which worked pretty good.

I use the anvil butt of a bench vise and a large mechanic's cold chisel.  A good hard blow with 5lb hammer cuts it clean.

I will have to try that.

Thanks

Make sure the chisel is sharp and don't miss. It takes about two weeks for the thumb to feel better
