Title: Spray paint and Amazon
Post by: SuperSix on March 28 2012, 02:02:30 PM
I have used a decent amount of spray paint rebuilding this car. All Rustoleum Engine Enamel. Both blacks (Semi gloss and low gloss) are 500 degree engine enamel, the flat aluminum I used is 2k degree high heat paint.

So I have been buying them at the local Autozone. $5.99 per can.

I need a few more cans to complete the job, so i checked Amazon.
I have an Amazon Prime membership, and love the free 2 day shipping.
They have the exact same SKUs, in stock, shipped 2 day, for $4.98.

I ordered 7 cans total.

It's definitely worth checking Amazon, especially if you have the Prime membership.

For simple black spray paint I use the cheap stuff fom dollar general Mark. It was on clearence for $1.50 a can and I bought several cases for later. I painted one frame rail last summer and it's hard a if it was baked on and still shiney after sitting outside all winter.

I highly recommend Eastwood Extreme Chasis Gloss Black the stuff sticks to everything well worth the money. The Amazon Prime membership is great especially if you have a Kindle!!
