Sure. Especially if he lives near the coast. My 87T has some rust damage, the worst is the lower A pillars from the T-Tops leaking.

Florida gets a lot of rain about 60 inches a year...in the Miami area..where as New york city gets about 47 inches....also think that most rustproofing was done at the dealership.... so if it was shipped direct to FL from MI it might not have been rust proofed....it was not an option from the MFG...thats when Rusty Jones was huge at dealerships... .
