I still remember the day when a B-36 flew over the house when I was a kid.
-
I know it's not the same but I used to have B-52's fly over the house all the time as a kid.

Looks harmless to me.

Gary has been very quiet. Gary have a good Christmas/New Years?
-
A B-52 isn't so cool if you're painting it but Chill Wills always came to mind whenever I walked down the spine of one.
-
Whats the context with Chill Wills +B52 Steve?
Recognized the actor didn't know his name
-
Dr. Strangelove GPS Unit (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skOnEJ6AISs#)
Is that not Chill Wills? I probably don't know Texans so good but you get the idea anyway.

OK I remember. Slim Pickens. His scene stole the show.

You need to look up his bio Steve. Very interesting guy to say the least. I still get a laugh when I watch Blazing Saddles, especially the bean scene. LOL

safe and harmless... guess there right, no one in Hiroshima, or Nagasaki really complained...

One of my instructors was a flight engineer on the b36. his flight jacket is on display underneath the b36 at wright patterson.
those things where massive. you could fit 2 b29's wing tip to wing tip underneath a b36 wingspan.
I can't remember the exact numbe of cylinders per engine, but it was somewhere around 27 or 29. 6 radial engines and 2 jet engines on each wingtip. the jet engines ran off the same fuel as the radials. had problems with carbon build up on the blades, and such.
the original design used only 1 massive wheel on each landing gear. they had problems with the weight cracking the taxiways and runways. "trucks" or, a combination of smaller wheels where designed to help distribute weight
-
56 spark plugs and 4 jet engines? The B-36 was an impressive plane to say the least.

Just don't have alot to say. The holidays are usually hectic at the shop, had a good holiday nonetheless. A guy just left that bought a 87 GN, said you sent him. Thanks for the good word, I owe you one. Real nice guy, just out of the Air Force.

most people use chlorine and some other chemicals to keep their pool clean.
I personally would prefer a 4 day work-week

It's so tough to find someone who is Buick competent,
A pleasure to be able to recommend you Gary.
(Maybe now he'll forgive us for not being able to find him at BPG :) )

See, now I had to go to urban dictionary and look that up....
Reminds me of being at a trade show in Atlanta and the the locals thought it would be funny to recommend "Cow Tippers" as a place to have a meal...
