Hopefully this works...
Anyways, this is a picture of one of my lower a-arms from gbodyparts that is separating/cracked. The opposite side is showing signs that it's well on it's way out as well.

Wow. That's some really shitty welding. Coming from GBodyParts, I'm not surprised the quality is below par. Sorry for your loss, Dave.
Brian will probably tell you the shocks are too stiff. :rolleyes;

For some reason the pic won't load.

I had to put it on my google documents. I kept getting an error when trying to upload it here even though it's below the size limit. And fileden (which I normally use) is down.

I was of the understanding that you are basically running a big gamble with aftermarket tube front g body control arms on the street, as far as them surviving

Not really. It depends on the method of manufacturing and matereal used. That's why I hope to get the broken lowers off Gordy. My nephew does NDT and I want to put them under some testing and make jigs off of them so I can make a set for myself that will hold up to what I want to do. The factory lowers are good for most things because they flex some and are capable of doing fine for most people, but I like to push things a bit.:)

PM Norbs...and ask him the issues he ran into with his Gbodyparts uppers and lowers.

Doesn't suprise me at all Scooby. I just want the parts so I can make my own and maybe market them later. :) I've talked to Brian several times and he seems to be fishing for info on some of the stuff I've been doing. He aint gonna get crap from me unless he offers some $. :D
-
Well, the new UMI uppers and lowers are on...
Car probably won't be ready until right before X-mas or just after...I can't wait to see how it performs after all of this work.
-
Hey Gordy, if you want to email me the pics I can post them or maybe Mark can. :) My board name at hotmail.
Forgot. Lower case on the c. :D

Sent.

Thanks Gordy. Not good looking there. What do you want to do?
-
Well, I haven't seen them myself yet in person...I probably won't get them and my car back until just after Christmas. If you want the lowers, you can have them and just cover S&H. I also have the uppers but it sounds like they're still in good shape so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do with them. I replaced both the uppers and lowers with the UMIs.
-
I'm very interested in the lowers Gordy. I've already decided on which uppers I'm going to use but I need a jig to make the lowers myself, and I need the lowers to make the jig. Tell me when you get them back and how much to ship to 76645. Thanks.:)
