Title: Tire Pressure (& Air Bags too)
Post by: gordyzx9r on October 08 2011, 03:54:08 PM
Just curious what kind of tire pressure I should be using:

235/60/R15 Pirellis
P275/50/15 MT Drag Radials
Air Bags (L&R)

Right now I think I have like 26PSI in each of the fronts and 16PSI in the rears.

I usually run about 24 on the street and around 16 on the strip...

With a big rear bar, you should not need any air bags.  If you have a small bar with a positraction rear end, then maybe 14 on the passenger side and 8 on the drivers...In the end, you would like to see the rear bumper parallel to the ground when power braking.

I have an ATR HD rear sway bar.

then I would put just enuf air in the bags to keep them from being pinched...try a burn out.  If the passenger wheels leaves more rubber than the drivers side, then add two pounds to the passenger side and try it again...until you get them the same.

And, of course, vice versa if the drivers side leaves more.
