Finally going to upgrade exhaust system. Looking in the summit catalog and they have 2 Pypes systems for $370. One is called the violator system and one is the race pro. Is one better than the other? I'm assuming its a different sounding muffler thats the difference. Anyone have experience with either?
Thanks

Maybe he can pype in. ;)

One is a little louder than the other...have to go to their site for more details or to listen to some sound clips-remember a turbo car is never as loud as a regular car because the exhaust wheel chops up the exhaust pulses and kills a lot of the sound.

+ More info here?

I dunno Steve. This ATR 3" SS with Pitbull mufflers I have on my car scares women and children at WOT.

how much was it? How does it sound??
Sorry, missed that.
Summit seems best priced, no oversize charges.
Sound? - Street Pro is very close to stock, maybe a tad louder.
Probably not what most of you want but I'm pleased.
MUST buy SS step clamps - pipes a tad too short, hopeless w supplied clamps.
Still of the same opinion. My stock exhaust is just a little too quiet, this is just right :)

I can't wait to hear mine fire up through the Cotton' 3". :D
(Assuming I don't have to replace that too. :011: )

Yes

I just put on a Cotton's 3" dual exhaust. It sounds good. Deep and civilized at idle and cruise. The more throttle you give it the more heathen it becomes.

I do...disconnec t the pipe and listen to it..then remove the turbo and listen to the difference. the exhaust wheel acts as an active diffuser..... Does not mean it will not make noise when wrapped out..but, it would make a lot more if the turbo was not in the chain

I'm likely gonna run a dump pipe...and uncap 'er and I'll let ya' know.

I have driven around many times like that with a judicious foot on the gas
