Was following the buick to a car show this weekend, noticed something and have a stupid question. When she would accelerate from a stop using maybe 10 lbs. of boost the car would puff a small amount of black smoke at each shift. Bad thing or normal?? Also when she lifts on the gas it puffs a bit of blue smoke, I knew it was burning a small amount of oil, maybe 3/4 quart in 3000 miles, so I figure that was that issue.

Two different issues. Black usually indicates a rich condition, blue is oil.

You have one of Erics chips in your car...and he errs on the rich side on his default settings...so it may be normal.
-
watch the 02s when you lift off the gas and then see what happens after the initial lift
-
on a WOT run its between 800 and 810 (lowest recorded reading). I'll watch see what it reads just after I lift.
-
running pretty rich to begin with
-
I am still on the default settings, I'll take some fuel out and see what happens. I had so much knock trouble before that I'm probably overcautious.
Thanks!
