I have various theories - but when he finally DID tell acknowledge he deleted his account, he said that it was because he was "out of Buicks, possibly or good".

There's been a trickle down too, at least one long term member stopped posting and removed me from their Facebook.

Such petty bullshit.. Life will go on, the sun will rise, etc, and so forth.
