Lost my sister at 44, and her son, my nephew at 21 to different forms of cancer.
I assume it will get me too.

-
lastnight my aunt had a stroke, they brought her to the hospital and they found out she has: brain and lung.. they think it spread to other places too.. she's 55
-
I was really hoping that this would be a thread about rust.
Cancer is evil. My mother had it (beat it) and my father had it (he beat it too).
-
sorry just venting.
just got word it spread though out her body.
-
I am really sorry to hear the bad news.

I am so Sorry to hear of this. Hang in there.

its rough, both her parents had cancer, she smoked for a long time (my dad grew up with her and she married my uncle) . its really sad. her youngest grandchild is about 7 months.
-
Well the doc's will do their best for her . . .
Know a few people that have smoked for as long as they can remember and no cancer and yet another catches wind of smoke and they have cancer.

I believe cancer is genetic, but of course, other factors can agitate it.
Sucks man.
-
Sorry to hear Rob. It killed both my mother and father. It'll likely get me too.
-
Sorry to hear this. I lost my mother to cancer when I was 10. The only good news is that you can't be 100% convinced about the tenebrosity of a cancer diagnose, people do beat it sometimes.
-
Rob sorry to hear of your Aunt's cancer. Hope she responds to treatments. Sylvan, what's tenebrosity? Just have to ask.
-
Googles a good thing. Got it Sylvan. Still wish Rob the best of luck.

ok so the update:
the cancer is in small tumors. so far they found 1 on the brain and one on the lung. they did something today where they went in though the nose to do something with the lung. i'm not sure what. they say radiation should shrink the tumors.
the very good news. as of now, the cancer has not gone to the lymph nodes or the liver.
i'm hoping this is a wake up call for her and my uncle to stop smoking.
thanks for the support everyone!
