Title: what do i need to check
Post by: Turbogn86 on April 15 2011, 03:29:59 AM
i have finaly gotten all the little bugs worked out to where the car has power finaly. but i cant seem to break the tires loose. i know i need a stall converter but i figured it would at least bark em in between shifts.

its an 87 WE4 Te44, 3" from turbo back, TT chip, precision stretched stock location, RJC power plate, 60# injectors. i kno theres more power im just tryin to figure out where its hiding. im only running 16-18 lbs on the street. any ideas?

SM numbers would help...and get under the car and verify you have a D5 convertor. There's a huge difference between 18 and 24 PSI of boost with a 44.

"Barking" the tires on a 1-2 would not be one of my criteria for checking for power.

As far as the stall, put your scanmaster on rpm, foot on the brake firmly with the car in Drive and start easing down on the gas.  At what rpm do the back tires begin to try to turn in spite of having your foot on the brake.

What are your O2s at wide open throttle at the top end of second gear and third gear?
