...that our rights are dwindling?

Who would've thought that mere 'ordinances' would wield such power over simple people and their property?

Looked like it was on the boulevard.
Hence not on his property.
Which he would know or should have known.

When you sewer backs up are you volunteering to pay for the entire repair or do you expect the municipality to cover repairs for the first 66 feet from the road centre?

St Pete's Christmas day, trying to cook a turkey, no plumber, no toilets...

Well if they own the first 66 feet in your municipality they pay, but they do not own that much here.
And if it was due to their negligence or improper maintenance then they pay the whole bill.
Not only that I carry insurance too.
Oh I live on a hill and on the north west side of town so no current issues here. :D

A five gallon pail and all is g00d. :atbeer: :atbeer: :atbeer:
20 gallon supply of water if the municipality croaks.
And the grill works well for turkey spring, winter or any other time. Drives the neighbours nuts smelling that in the middle of winter.

Side streets might be less 33ft? Ctr.
Got Hydro up north to take down a mort tree cuz it was just on the road allowance. Sometimes it works in your favour.

Least entertaining hijack in years.
Note that they were tearing them all down. Apparently the excuse is that it overhangs the street by a little bit....so mailboxes have to go next?
-
All it takes is a couple bitchy impatient people having to wait in a suburban development for the local kids (finally getting out of the house and into the fresh air to have fun getting some real exercise) to enable the local over-empowered assholes to pull shit like this.

Sorry for bringing facts into it. Carry on.
