Anybody else want one of these badly enough to go blind? I just wish they'd come out and say how much they'll be asking for it. With the Ford website advertising the Shelby GT500 at $48,645 MSRP, I hope Chevy doesn't get retarded and ask much more than that.
-
I do not like them.
-
Nothing really gripping about the design to me. Doesn't scream RWD badass coupe to me.
-
For the money, I would rather buy this.....

Oh hell yes!! \m/
-
That car is bad ass! Thanks for posting that link.
-
Nope, not me. I despise garage queens. I don't want a car I was afraid to beat on.
As far as the Camaro goes, I think Chevy missed the mark, and the momentum of the classic muscle car revolution. Chrysler/Dodge nailed it, Ford nailed it. Chevy, not so much.

If they are not drivers, I would rather pay ten bucks to go to a museum and see 'em rather than have them collect dust in my shop for a ton of money.

I'm with Steve on having a garage queen. I met one of the locals yesterday that I'd been trying to track down. He's got an 86 GN that has been sitting since 95 outside of his shop. Ragged out and rusty, but from neglect, not use. It's got 56K on it and he thinks it's worth $15K. :jerkit; I needs a ton of work to get it back in shape and he really believes it's worth a ton of money since he's the original owner and has all the paper work showing everything since he bought it from Tyson Buick in Fort Worth new.

:supz: Man! Did you nail that on the head!
I do like the new Camaro and damn near bought one when I was looking at the Challenger. The only drawback was the interior of the Camaro(and the Mustang for that matter) is just not made for people my size.

I like the Mustang with regard to the new cars because it is the lightest weight. Add four hundred pounds and lose 4 tenths..that is my first reaction. I like the Challenger from the looks department...
None of them scream you gotta have me, tho
-
The Camaro's interior is less than inspired, I'll concede that much.
...but as far a GM not nailing it in comparison to the others, I think they sat on it until they knew they'd gotten it just right.

Detroit plates at the Nurburgring forever, bitches!

Two of my friends own new Challengers, IMO they are the best looking car on the market today. If I wasn't in a position where I need a 4x4 truck year round, I too would own one. The Heritage Edition cars in the classic paint scheme's rock. Hell, I'm comfortable with my ego and sexuality I'd even have a panther pink one!
I drove the Camaro when it first came out. It is hard to see out of, uncomfortable to sit in, but it does drive like no other Camaro. The ZL1 will be a nasty car, but I'd rather have something else.
The Mustang... Ford got it right in '05. Took me awhile to get used to the '09 models, but I like them. The new 5.0 is a pretty badass setup.
However, I am dedicated to the real muscle cars that started it all. I have always loved Mopars, and the 80s G-Body GM cars. I've owned plenty of both, and really can't see myself ever driving something like an SRT-8 or a new Mustang.

I am horribly disappointed in the members of this board...seriou sly, *nobody* gave me shit for typing 'Detroit plates'? Good god...

I thought you typed Detroit Pilates

According to many recent obesity studies, in Detroit typing *is* pilates.

Whoa! :bigeyes;
That is unique. I like it.
-
Thought this was pretty cool- an exploded view of the LSA.
-
That Trans Am looks allot better than the black and gold ones that someone built.

I was never into the "bandit" T/A. There were too many of them driving around. I always wanted a early 70's T/A. But, this is just so bad ass looking.
-
owning a hemi charger although AWD it is bad ass...if the challenger came in AWD or any of the SRT8's...I would own one...trying to talk wife into the SRT8 Jeep Cherokee http://www.leftlanenews.com/jeep-grand-cherokee-srt8.html

Ain't it wierd how sometimes seemingly like-minded folks can be completely on opposite pages with these things? I thought the black Bandit T/A in Hot Rod mag a while back was awesome.

I kinda thought so. I'm in love with this car and have only the few promotional pics released by Chevy so I'll tak what I can get!

I'm not happy with this trend where you have an elaborate hood with scoops et al
But upon opening it ALL you see are more cosmetic sculpted trim pieces covering the actual engine.
THATS what the hood is for!

True dat. I think it would be more appropriate to have a flashing neon arrow pointing at that blower.
-
As long as there is boost involved, I like it.

Awwwww sheeeeeit, Ford is upping the GT500's hp output to "over 600" for model year 2013... can't wait to see Chevy's response!
