Goats are only green on St Paddy's Day. Around here....at least.
Some make a business of providing goats to cities/counties to clean up brush lands in order to reduce fire risks. Nature used to do this with fire, but, we like to mess with Mother Nature, so now goats do it..

I have a buddy that got 2 pygmy goats about 4 months ago, and they wiped out almost all the grass.
One just had 2 babies. Cool little creatures.

they are cute and make pretty good novelty pets...goats are browsers by nature so they start with the bushes and work their way to the ground in most cases....defin itely not what you want in a yard....
Oh, well, they are delicious to eat when the population needs reduction

Gotta agree with you Steve. They've kept the grass down here as well as the brush. Glad to see the risk of fires down since we're in a drought right now. :mad;

I think I remember hearing that folks made pretty good money leasing out animals in Nevada to stand around on mine tailing hills just eating and shitting in order to promote plant growth thereby making the lifeless hills a bit greener.
In other news, when I was younger they used to call me The Run-On Kid.
