Title: EV Cobalt Co4

Picked one of these up a few weeks ago and am really happy with it. I bought it for micing my cabinet and it really picks up the full EQ spectrum. I run Celestion 12/75s which can sound a bit boomy but a slight tilt away from the center of the cone fixes that no problem.

How much that bitch set you back? I still got a Shure SM57, this thing is fucking solid but not as responsive.

I'm just surprised that YOU are micing amps and I'M the one running a line out of the Roland Cube 30 these days.

Not sure what it cost- some dude paid me back for buying him an MXR 10 band EQ pedal for christmas. The SM57s and 58s rock ass, but I'm finding them to be a tad bit boomy.

LOL, and here I thought you had made a HORRIBLE joke pertaining to a Chevy Cobalt. Sorry I doubted ya.

I've been using SM67's for years without a problem. They're
incredibly versatile. I actually prefer them over many of my
more expensive mics. I like them for drums too. They're actually
better than shure drum mics for miking drums (with the exception
of bass drums and overheads.)

Actually, I have an Akai AMC10 that would be my favorite amp mic ever if it didn't have such overwhelming bass issues...and I can't remember to EQ it every time.

I have a couple of AKG's that are pretty good, but I still resort to the 57's.
