Electricity = Instant torque.

I was thinking about this years ago, why not make a tranny a bis ass alternator? In theory it would be self-sustaining. The only issue would be keeping it cool enough to last.

Anyway, the lines from the a pillar to the back pillar reminds me of the bubble top Chevy's in the early 60's, which I dig.

But the rear reminds me of an MR2 (*cough* Lotus *cough*)

I thought the Chevy Volt was a good looking car in pre-production mode, then I see they f'd up the final product.  :mad:

You need to research the regenerative braking system that Toyota developed  for the Prius. They primarily use a couple of motor/generators that propel the vehicle under light acceleration and cruise mode. When braking, they actually recharge the batteries. They also perform the "starter" function when the internal combustion engine is needed. (hard acceleration and low battery conditions) the electric motors
are basically the transmission. Toyota licenced their hybrid designs to Honda and Nissan. Thats how far along they are. These vehicles still have standard hydraulic brakes which are used very little. A cool design to say the least.

My Buick was like that with the stock engine. It was like the
whistling of the turbo and the exhaust note of the exhaust would somehow harmonically cancel each other out. All you'd hear is a "zzzzzz" noise from the tires.
