Anyone know how to tell GNX wheels from TTA, Kirban's etc... ?
A guy offered to sell me a set with tires for $400. He claimed
that they're GNX wheels, but only because of the decals on the
center caps. I know you can buy those decals to fit almost anything.
How do you identify the various types ?

GNX wheels

TTA wheels

The steps on the lip of the wheel are different. Notice on the GNX Wheels there is a smaller step then the wide step. I hope this helps you. :cheer:

No, but I know what to tell a woman with two black eyes.
Notice in the pic above that there aren't any dimples on the outer most part of the mesh. There are dimples on the GTAs. FWIW, $400 for a set is less than you would pay for a decent set of GTAs. I'd be suspicious.

I had a set of Kirban's "GNX" wheels ... they were just TTA wheels. Also they had "Front" cast into the back side of the wheel.

Nothin. You done told her twice.

Certain years of GTA rims had dimples and certain years did not, 1 was a 1 piece design, and the other was a 2 piece design.
GNX real rims are marked on the reverse side in metric with the offset, & maybe front & rear, + manufacturer's logo/symbol/trademark.

You'll notice that I posted in that thread a little while after I started this one. :)
Anyways I looked at the wheels and they were early GTA wheels. You could
tell that the fronts were wrong by the tell tale scraping on the inside lip from
the upper control arm hitting it.

well kirban wheels look nothing like GNX / TTA wheels to me
