I am getting antsy here. I am looking into one of the two. Bryan hates the CTS-V because he does not like the body on it AND he is too tall for the car. What's everyones OP. Just questioning. Oh yeah, CTS-V is Manual of course which is a plus!
-
I think the CTS-Vs are sexy as hell...?
-
I think thats a very biased opinion. (borderline treason based on the evidence that I'm about to present.)............

As many know, I was planning to get a CTS but had to make the more responsible move and get a truck. So, the only Caddy I got was a lousy hat.

Next thing ya know, you'll have someone else carrying your golf clubs too...

...as I joke about "the colored people" and my soaring investments all the while wearing pants made from Sharon Tate's drapes? No, not me.
-
Hey Sylvan, where'd you get that hat? :cool;
I would opt for the Caddy CTS-V over the Jag. I know the Jag is made by Ford now, but after owning a European car I will never go back unless I have a TON of money for upkeep.
I was considering a CTS-V and my kids were lobbying pretty hard for one, but after test driving the Charger it became an easy choice. For the money, there is no real competitor in the market for the Charger. Plenty of room inside as Sylvan can attest and power to burn. :supz:
-
The Charger *was* roomy and had no fear of an onramp. It was a very nice car, fer sher.
I still say any non-communist would get the CTS.
-
Anything associated with Britain is fucked up. :cool;
-
The Charger has more room? Your kidding right? Any kind of car Bryan gets into he has to move his seat all the back to fit in it which means he is pract in our youngest daughter's lap which she complains "Daddy your squiching me". It is funny only once. That is another reason why he hates the CTS, there is no room.

Yikes! I hope she is ok. That is my biggest fear is that the airbag going off. I used to sit real close for as short as I am. Until I got my F-150, I sit back farther because of the adjustable foot pedals, thank god. Same with our Excursion, (I really miss that truck). Well, I am only 4'11 and Bryan is 6'3. When we had the Mustang he sat fine driving as long as my little daughter was not in the back. lol. We will have to see what I can get.
-
Racer X is like 7'-5" or something. If a Charger fits him it will fit anyone.
-
6'2" here and I was (obviously) in the passenger seat the whole time. Racer X's son (a really rad cat who is downright savant with cars, btw) sat behind me and didn't complain once...
-
6'2" here ...
What are you other places?

6'13" on the internet.
-
The Charger has a ton of room. My oldest son is 5'-11" and sits behind me in the car with no trouble at all. Plus it has more HP than the CTS-V.
-
How does it handle?
-
For a large car it handles surprisingly well. Sylvan can attest to that as well! LOL!
-
While I obviously didn't drive it, the feel from the passenger seat was "on a rail".
-
While I obviously didn't drive it.... rail".
You sound bitter.

How I taste is hardly pertinent to the discussion.

Sour Grapes.

I still like this....
and it outperforms the CTS-V in the magazine tests. An yes, I like Fords, even though Ford just made a deal to sell Jaguar to an Indian auto company, Tata I believe. Ford will continue to manufacture parts and provide service at dealers.
I have been trying to talk the wife into an XJR, but she does not like it....

You've gotta be a dirty public wanker who talks like gbsean to drive a fuckin' "Jag-you-ah".

Donna has decided she wants the new XF, check out the vid http://www.jaguarusa.com/Microsites/USVideos/Jaguar_09XF_Hush_720x480.htm?route=_us_en_latest_films_films@

YEAH BABY!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so like noone has a comment to make? What is up with that? Oh, I see, the beauty of it has took your breath away!
-
The way they shot that video it was hard to see the car. I think if you are going to spend the kind of dough that a CTS-V or a Jaguar costs you should get what you want.
-
I agree. That Is why I want to make sure on what I get. I like the XF way better then the CTS-V. The body says it all. I know Bryan likes it too. It opt for a supercharger which will be the one too look at.
It may be a few before going to check it out. We are getting ready for a road trip to Chicago for a visit for a few days then home, then pack and get ready for a road trip to Disney in FLA. (Now to hide all of Bryan's pagers and phones that weekend). lol
-
If you must go Jaguar, the XJR is far better looking IMO.

Here are some better pictures of it.

That is a decent looking car. I do like the styling on it. Your test drive will determine a lot as well, SO LONG AS YOU ARE NOT IN LOVE WITH THE CAR ALREADY. Before buying the Charger, we drove three Mercedes Benzes and I am glad we did not buy one of those.
Waaaay too small inside for us and the power just wasn't there for car people like us! When buying a new car, I tend to test drive all the cars in my price point so I can get a good idea of what is available.
After owning a BMW, 325i (you know, the JD Powers most reliable car?) I have sworn off European cars. They are far too expensive to maintain once the warranty ends.
