Is it me or what?? Growing up I was always told to call someone (Example) Mr. & Mrs. Campbell for names. (out of respect) and told my children to do the same. NOW, Since we are down here, I have been told that the "South" uses (For example) Ms. Donna and Mr. Bryan everyone uses a first name for everything... and the kids call there teachers by their first names (which is hard to do, and I get corrected every time I do it). Well, now I am really confused, I go to a dr in KY and was told to call them by their last name and they were really offended. WTF!!!!!! I am so confused and PO'd. I am ready to call everyone something else other then their names.

Must be a Tennessee thang!

I take it they do not do this in GA. It must be, but I am NOT.

I was brought up to use last names, and that seems to be
the precedent everywhere that I've ever been.
I guess thats what happens after a long extended diet of Jack Daniels...

I just think it is all wrong, with the TN way... Well, I guess we will still be the "outcasts" down here and do it the way we were brought up. If they dont like it..... :finga:

Always taught to use last names down here! And you can't get much farther south then me(except S6 in Florida).

I don't recommend that if you ever go skate boarding in Baltimore.
