We made one of those too. Unfortunately it didn't make squat for thrust.
It was cool to watch though. We used a small turbo from a Toyota with a
power steering pump from a Volvo being driven by an electric motor to
lubricate the turbo. We used a leaf blower to get it started. Whe it was running,
it'd make a pretty blue flame about 2 feet long with a deafening whistling sound.
We were going to attempt building a valve jet like the Germans used in the V rockets. Bt we couldn't make valves that would stay together.

It maybe cool to watch, but I would rather watch from about 100 FT away! That is some loud and powerful shit.
