IHADAV8 Playground / once again my trailer bit me« on: August 11 2012, 03:00:51 PM »
it is all my fault as I forgot to close the hitch on the truck...I had also taken the chains off....so as I was backing Elise off the trailer the front rose and came off the ball...I thought the ramps had come off and was waiting for front of car to drop and the brakes would stop the slide...but trailer was moving...in hind site I should of put in drive and gone forward on trailer and the rear of trailer would of struck the garage wall...but alas Elise crashed...it was only about 5 mph and i should again of taken my foot off brake and I am sure damage would of been less...anyway a claim has been filled and damage does not appear that bad, will need a new trunk lid and I hope rear bumper can be salvaged...so I learned a few things....make sure ball is closed...keep chains attached...and keep brake away cable attached..
