If I’m not mistaken , marina gas is still ethanol free 🤷♂️
Don’t mind some ethanol in my premium gas while I’m driving the car in the spring / summer, however have always run a tank of Shell 91 V plus (which was ethanol free) but is no longer . Would fill up the tank with this ethanol free gas for winter storeage . Gonna be checking out Marina gas very shortly 3

I doubt that it’s really critical ……as long as it’s a snug fit , I’d think you’ll be golden 👍

Here’s a link that lists all the different sizes of vacuum hoses needed for our cars.
You’ll have to scroll down quite a ways to find the list but it’s quite extensive https://www.turbobuick.com/threads/scanmaster-g-readings.480870/ 5

Re-clocking the turbo should help however you might also want to consider installing an offset silicon hose.
They even have reducing offset hoses if it’s needed for 3 different sized hoses in your case. https://hpsperformanceproducts.com/products/hps-silicone-offset-off-center-coupler-air-intake-hose-turbo-black-blue https://hpsperformanceproducts.com/pages/hps-reinforced-silicone-reducer-coupler-transition-hoses 7

Have since found a source for this scarce & unique GM clip.
In case anyone else ever needs this clip, I’ll save you the trouble of scouring the internet in your search to find it. Here’s a link: Happy Motoring! stage1restorat ions.com https://www.stage1restoration.com/product/battery-clamp/ 8

I’ve drained some fluid outta the rad via the petcock & removed the upper hose connection at the radiator .
Will attempt to use my vacuum pump to drain inside the rigid upper hose before removing at the intake . Am expecting a “gush” of coolant outta the manifold once I remove the thermostat . Will have a bunch of rags stuffed around it and some drain pans under the car to catch what drips down . Thanks for your suggestions Scooby & David 👍 13

Any suggestions on the best way to change thermostat with the least amount of coolant spillage?
I’ve got to change out my T-stat & am running GN1’s aluminum upper coolant pipe in lieu of a flexible rad hose so it’s a bit trickier. Any suggestions to minimize spilled coolant would be greatly appreciated 15
