Post by: nocooler on June 20 2018, 07:28:43 PM: I like the addition of the early 80s Japanese cars. The 1st gen 300z is s pretty neat car. I’ve only seen one drag raced. It was gutted, had a turbo upgrade, a bunch of cobbled stuff and 150hp of n2o on it. It ran mid 11s well in the 120mph range. That was 15 years ago.

Paid $28 to summit for a mini spool and had me a burnout monster. We stuck a nail in the brake master cylinder for the rear brakes. Poor mans version of a permanent line lock.

My TVR has one of those.

I just recently learned that the current mustang V6 still uses a Cologne engine so a T5 five speed will bolt up to my engine and replace my non-OD 4 speed.

Turns out a yellow RX-7 will drag in much much much much of the unit. :tongue

I miss that car. It's impossible to find a first gen for sale anymore.

Not sure on price but he may have said $6k last year when I saw him. It needs some attention.
