Cross hatching looks brand new.  Does not look like it was run much lately...I say that because it is a bit rustier inside that I would have guessed.

Have you tried putting some heat to the arm around the shaft and then hitting the puller with an impact?

Thank Goodness for dogs.  Mine is going to turn 15 come February and is almost totally deaf but she still wants to play a bit.  I am cooking her an egg for breakfast right now and I don't even cook one for myself.
