Title: Timeslips and Data
Post by: Scoobum on October 09 2016, 06:47:07 PM
Back from 3 days at the track. Saturday was rained out...but the track dried enuf by 3'oclock to let us test or grudge race till dusk. I decided to dial in the rear suspension. Track wasn't the best with all the rain and the humidity at 83 percent. I decided to leave at 2500 RPM's on the track and go with the best 60. On 23 PSI the car went 7.18 at 100.8 late Saturday afternoon.

Fast forward to this morning. The temp had dropped from 64 to 52, with the humidity dropping to 48 and the grains of water to 38. I added 10 points of fuel to low and high gear to compensate. Got the shock setup correct and cracked off a 1.57 launch and went 6.81 at 102.3 on 23 PSI. Low gear fueling was 823 with high gear checking in at 776. Timing remained unchanged from 1 week ago.

I came back around...turne d the boost up 1 pound...and went back out and boosted it to the moon. Blew the tires off it immediately with the shift lite coming on almost instantly. I have it set at 6 grand...and if it goes off, I'm outta the throttle.

The 7.17 run was in first round eliminations with the boost turned back to 23...and zilch time for spooling.

Identical .527 reaction times in race conditions. Maybe I'm not getting too old.

Did you get any logs of these runs to post up? Us less learned want to see just how this is done.

Thanx

I have an old IBM Thinkpad that has no internet...and when I plug a stick in...nothing happens...that's why I post all relevant data.

I've been at this for 13 years. I'm at the track every weekend...eith er testing...raci ng...or practicing. It leaves zero time for family...and I mean zero. I have a back ground as an auto tech and automotive machinist. I came from the NA world...and to say turbocharging was a huge learning curve...at least for me...would be an understatement . I have friends that are there for wrenching, engine and transmission building, technical support, and I do my own tuning. I live, eat and breathe this stupid black car 24/7...and I don't recommend it. I've gotten good at it...but there's a price to pay for it.

No, I don't log anything. I basically cross my fingers and hope for the best. The data I post is fictitious.

Rich he doesn't have a way to transfer the logs over.

Jeremy...no worries. It takes a lot of time for me to go over the data and then to type it all out. Since I'm being questioned as to the validity of it...then I'm no longer gonna bother.

"validity of it" ?? Rich simply asked if you could post a log. You don't have to go all Ape shit!

Your the first to ask other for logs from others and are supposed to be MR.Data master.

Rich is just asking.......a nd assumed you could post a log and share. Fuk man, grow another layer of skin!

Ape shit?  this board is gonna have to install mirrors.

Brad is one of the few guys that tries to help guys get their cars running right without buying every magic part on the market.  I am pretty sure Rich can talk for himself.  He ain't the blushin' violet type.

I stated that for one reason or another, I can't get a 'stick' to work in my old laptop...that's why I've posted every little bit of data I could. I'm useless with computers, and maybe I can't figure out to download to a 'stick'...who knows. I don't know what more I can do. I've asked others having problems to post logs if they can, in hopes of helping them. I guess I should have just let them struggle. Anyway, at this time, I'll take my leave...and I wish everyone the best of luck. Steve...you have my e-mail...please keep in touch.

Well, Steve has called me a p*ssy before and even I can't find anything in this thread to get my shorts knotted by any poster.

One might need to try a stick smaller than a gig or so preformatted "FAT".

Looks like your reading comprehension is as bad as some others.

Sorry I asked. I didn't know that asking if there was a log to post would cause such turmoil.
