antenna connection
« on: August 21 2017, 12:16:40 AM »
I replaced the old  non working antenna,  with a std, fixed mast , with std  coaxial  connector,
obviously it does not  connect to  existing  antenna   wire.
so my question is,  just purchase an extention  antenna wire? from new antenna wire to radio?
orig radio still in the car, and speakers too! ( hey they work)

I'm not sure what you have.  Metra makes a jillion adapters and then there are things like this  https://www.amazon.com/Motorola-F-Connector-36-Cable/dp/B00GYLBU4O

car is all orig,  factory  antenna wire,
does factory  radio use  std  antenna  wire?   plug in type,
seriously thinking of up grading radio,  but want  OEM look,
and thats not possible,
found an older, new in box,  pioneer 1.5 din,
but like to have  bluetooth,
any suggestions on  nice looking stereo, (cheap)
not into 1000W and 12in bass, speakers, seldom turn the radio above talk
volume.

The stereo, speakers, antenna etc has nothing to do with forward acceleration. Remove and deposit in the nearest body of water.

So I used a GM Monsoon deck out of a 2002 Camaro.  FIts with an adapter and a little trimming of the rails.  For Itunes I got an Isimple adapter.
