A lot of broken parts does not make you a racer; it makes you a slow learner.

I like the addition of the early 80s Japanese cars. The 1st gen 300z is s pretty neat car. I’ve only seen one drag raced. It was gutted, had a turbo upgrade, a bunch of cobbled stuff and 150hp of n2o on it. It ran mid 11s well in the 120mph range. That was 15 years ago.

Do you guys remember the '72 Mercury (German) Capri with a v6? I scared the sh*t out of a dealership salesman on a test drive. :)

That's a great list. Now the prices will go up. My first engine rebuild came out of a 69 T bird.  429. Paid $28 to summit for a mini spool and had me a burnout monster. We stuck a nail in the brake master cylinder for the rear brakes. Poor mans version of a permanent line lock.

My TVR has one of those.

I just recently learned that the current mustang V6 still uses a Cologne engine so a T5 five speed will bolt up to my engine and replace my non-OD 4 speed.

Also: my first car was a 1st gen '79 RX-7.    I remember when my dad brought it home and said 'what's got Pirelli tires and a 7 band equalizer?"

.....  I looked at him and said ''YELLOW?"...

Turns out a yellow RX-7 will drag in much much much much of the unit.   :tongue

I miss that car.   It's impossible to find a first gen for sale anymore.

Guy here is selling a 6? T Bird that has the semi circle back seat if anyone decides they want one.
Not sure on price but he may have said $6k last year when I saw him. It needs some attention.

Maxim magazine had a similar list about 10-12 years ago. It was actually the article that promoted me to cancel my gift subscription. They referred to the GNX as the "Maserati of the trailer park".
Everything I need to know I learned from over-drinking.

Oh, and MAGA!
