General Buick Tech / Re: Update on future build
« Last post by phil_long on Today at 09:19:18 AM »
My original stock return was beat to hell and I refuse to buy another stock return. Aesthetically it just didn't fit my build. I'll address this issue after I take care of some other things. I got my Wideband installed last night so now my dash is officially complete(after I calibrate my speedo). I'm making a little progress.

I remember Brad!
Steve - he had a 05 2500? that he towed his enclosed trailer and Grand National in. It's the one they plucked from in front of his house.

That would be the one. Found out how easy they are to steal. TR's are even easier.

Simple reminder - double and triple check shit. Especially if you smoke large quantities of weed and are constantly interrupted lol

What I didn't tell you guys is my truck has an anti-theft device - the dumb ass working on it!
Somehow I forgot to tighten the lugs and lost a wheel. I can laugh about it now - only thing that got hurt was my pride, and a fender/door/wheel bearing.
Currently it has a spray painted fender on it and the door is messed up.
So steal at your own risk

General Buick Tech / Re: Fuel tank and pump, electrolysis on tank? New pump?

I  used the cheapass fuel filters from the local parts store and had zero issues with them...and I swapped a new pump and filter in every spring before the race season fired up.

Those fuel lines connections can be a whore...they'll wanna spin the line. Spray the fuck out of them with WD-40 24 hours in advance...and use the proper line wrenches. If it wants to spin the line spray it with WD-40 and wait. This ain't your DD so take your time.
