09 jetta wagon TDI

60 MPG !

i believe it. how fast do you drive though like a steady 65? my mom has a 06 (maybe 07? w/e first year for the mk5 tdi) 5 speed. best i ever got was 53.8 doing 80.

I set the cruise at 60 and roll my only complaint is getting in and out I'm 6'1" and its low to the ground and I'm old and broken plus being a 4 door the doors are small.

General Buick Tech / front end
« on: December 31 2010, 07:23:46 PM »
So I decided 1 of my many winter projects was going to be a major overhaul of the front end. Good idea as i have discovered a few conditions that needed to be addressed. Upper PS control arm bushing where beyond done. PS spring broken (6 inches off the bottom coil of the spring). Ball joints where questionable.

I have the new ball joints and bushings installed, a set of QA1 adjustables shocks for the front are on the way.

Here are some pic's of the carnage, should i just cut the good spring to match?

The good one has a bit of a bow to it when stood up?
Think that bushing was toast?

A guy in California hears from his girl friend that she is taking a new job in Hawaii.
Despondent he takes a walk on the beach and uncovers a Jeanie bottle. He decides to clean it up and releases the Jeanie the Jeanie grants 1 wish.
" I want a bridge to Hawaii so I can drive to see my girl friend I hate flying"

The Jeanie replies "are you out of your mind I can't do that it is impossible the ocean is too deep the currents the weather it just won't work pick something else"

" OK than I want to understand women"

The Jeanie replies " a 4 lane or 2 lane bridge?"

Product price is typically less than hard wood.
Its way more durable that hardwood and is not as prone to damage.
Its easy to repair compared to hard wood glue in a new tile typically its an invisible repair.
Its glued down to a smooth subfloor surface needs to be clean and smooth similar to a linoleum installation when it comes to subfloor prep.
Order an extra box based on sq ft needed save additional materials for repairs that way you have the same dyelot.
Its more durable than hardwood or laminate, we install vinyl plank in food stores like safeway and retail stores like sears.
No special tools are needed a "good utility knife" carpenter's square and a straight edge. Snap a chalk line and ensure your first row is straight, I prefer a dry tack adhesive so you can work on top of the product, some manufactures insist on wet set which is a little more challenging and can get messy.
Armstrong has a good DYI vinyl plank also very easy to install and subfloor prep is not as critical as the tile are glued together and not directly to the subfloor.

Finally! I get to give tech advise  :idea;
