Resurrecting this old thread because I actually did some work on the truck.  Picked up the tranny a few months back from the same local fella who rebuilt the Wagoneer’s tranny.  Got the converter balance figured out only to have to elongate one of the holes on the flex plate slightly to work with the magnum balanced internals. With the wife working at school as the new elementary vice principal and my son starting back for his senior year, finally had some time to get this installed and running.
For those not on FB, here’s a few pics. Still need to install the Lokar cable for the tranny and throttle cable for the go fast pedal but it won’t be long before this little short wide is on the road.

I go to the nats for the track time. Last year we tried to rent the track on Wednesday and we got the hand. Year before we couldn’t use the track while the cars were being judged. You want me to keep paying and going then open up the track

If you decide to use the HR mounts, you can adjust them ever so slightly to get a little more clearance on the down pipe. With that being said, once clear on the a arm, look at the pinch weld on the body firewall where the down pipe squeezes between the starter and the HVAc box. You made to clearance the pinch weld

I’ve hauled a few burn victims and it gets me every time. . Big props to you for always looking ahead. A smart fella once told me that there’s no future in the past. . I can only imagine the pain of burns. It took me almost three years for that Haji fella to stop running at me in my dreams. VA folks here always thank me when I tell them I’m employed and it always surprises me when they do. Like what else am I supposed to be doing? Folks depend on us and despite our own battles, their needs are what keep us going

I have found that unless I get the boost in the upper teens low 20’s, I don’t see anything less than a 1.6 short time. I have a stock stroke .030 over 109. I stage at 35-3600 with the flash up to 4200.  Full boost usually comes in within .4 to .6 after the launch. The 1-2 gears can usually get away with a bit more timing and a leaner AFR. If you can get a log that would help folks make suggestions. Good luck and stay safe
