HAPPY BIRTHAY STEVE
Being your age and having fun is a blessing in the sky, just getting up in the morning like you do is a challenge for me being at the age of 71 we all have that type motivation of feeling great and days of just relaxing.
Wishing many more healthy years to come

I don't gave anything that shows it really clean.  By the time I drive it down the 1/4 caliche road to my house, it is basically gray from the dust.   Here is a couple.

Mine is a 97 which is the last year of the first generation NA's with pop up headlights.  My son had a 96 but he forgot he did not have four wheel drive like his subie and lost it in the rain going around a corner.  Hit a tree.  He bought a 95 with an automatic that ran very poorly.  Pulled his drivetrain and all the harnesses, dash, etc. and put it in the '95.  Was not an easy job and he ended up with an OBDI by texas law with and OBDII drivetrain.  It is a pretty merlot color.  I gave him the soft top off mine when I installed the hard top and his has both soft and hard tops now.

Miatas are like super go karts with air conditioning.  I have done a lot of suspension work and braces on mine along with some good coil overs.  I love blasting down a curvy road in it.  I never take the hard top off because it's pretty heavy for a codger to handle.  One day I will build a hoist for it.

The second picture is the most recent.  I think I had just raised it a bit by adjusting the coil overs. It was starting to hit stuff in the road.
Your Miata looks really nice, and I while ago I did mention to you I had a 1993 Mercury Capri.
I believe both powertrains are the same, just differents body style.

Julio, it looks like you have done a good job so far.  I have only painted one car in my life and I painted like I colored with crayons.  Not well at all.  they say Prep is 90% of the job.  I also figure having dry air in the hose is 90%.
My first paint job was the header panel and bumper fillers using a SEM Factory Pack GM WA8555 Black 12 oz spray can and SprayMax 2K Glamour High Gloss Aerosol can. which all came out pretty good considering my 1st time painting.
I did a lot of researched and many YouTube videos of learning how to paint a car.

First thing I am going to do is move some stuff around inside so I have more usable space.

My Challenger has been mostly outside for two years so it can go in, or my GN can come out from under the carport and into the shop and the Challenger can go there.

I think I bent a control arm on the Miata.  After Taylor and I installed the new set of coilovers On Labor Day, we noticed that we had to hold a little left in the steering wheel.  I had not noticed it before or after the latest install, but Taylor noticed as soon as he drove it.  I was fixing to do a string alignment on it to see if I could get it to zero toe without having to change the control arm.  Right front has some definite toe out.  I need to do that.  Car is on my four post lift waiting on me.  Fixing to be too cold for the summer ultraperforman ce tires.

Both Buicks need some attention.  Both need AC work and the T needs a new oil pan gasket while the GN has a new alky kit to install.

Then my gokart has not been touched since I bought the engine rebuild kit.

My biggest problem is that my motivation is almost zero when I am by myself.  My back gets tired standing up so I either lay on the floor to work or sit in the chair and tell Taylor how to do something when he is here. LOL
Hi Steve, What year is the Miata? and is it possible to post some pictures?
Hate to bear more bad news, but the motivation gets worst when winter sets in.
I know since this winter I'll be in the garage block sanding and trying to keep warm.

General Buick Tech / Re: Which Size Rear Tires?

Same size as I installed about five years ago.  They might have 300 miles on them LOL

My car is lowered about an inch and they look good
Did you lower by installing a different type of springs?
Speaking of rear springs, What type of OEM spring: constant, or variable?

It has been around 5yeaes ago when I got tire replacement
FRONT ARE: 245/50 ZR16
REARS ARE: 255/50ZR16
I did read it's getting hard to find 255/50's
Right now this is in the repainting stage until next year final paint job

More pictures
Before applying any paint I spend weeks of stripping the hood, and sand the whole car down with 220, and then 320 sand paper.
The GN in the garage is 1st being painted before and after with Eastwood Epoxy Primer, and then last picture of sprayed with Eastwood 2K Urethane Primer Surfacer.
Right now I'm sanding the Urethane Primer Surfacer with 320 sand paper and leaving it like that until next year when warmer climate is present.
Right now I thinking when next year comes I'm deciding to apply a black sealer, and then choosing a dark black base color, and a 2k clear coat.
Note: I tried to give a better picture of my 20' copper tubing to cool down and remove some moisture in the air hose.
I do have and Desiccant Dryer and air Filter

Hi Steve, Hi Dave,
Nice to hear from you guys since the last time Steve was really helping me out with a vacuum leak and Valve springs replacement.
After all the work I did replacing upper/lower ball joints, upper/lower front and rear bushings, and front/rear coil springs, valve springs, and RTV on headers no gasket; I did had intention of putting it on the road.
But as you can see the driver door had some of dents, and passenger quarter window has some rust built up, and for the like of me I couldn't drive around the way it looks.
So I decided to repaint the whole car and next year after all is painted is when I finally put it on the road and enjoy driving.
Here are some of the pictures I posted where you can see the driver door dents, hood having crow feet, passenger quarter window rust built up. After removing the quarter window I found the problem was cause the Ribbon sealer auto glass was dried to the point when I remove it wasn't even stringy like the driver side.

If you can't find an replacement, then for now you can place the top broken cable strap back and use cable zip ties to hold it down.
