Title: Trying to get my powerlogger to read boost
Post by: Robjob on November 17 2017, 12:56:38 PM
Im trying to hook my map to my powerlogger to get the boost readings. I followed the instructions on vortexbuicks on how to hook up the map to the powerlogger but I have know reading on my powerlogger. Is there a way to test to see if the map is working correctly? Also I checked the ground to the map and I don’t believe the map is getting ground. What would cause this?

Can't read the text in your original post. Might try changing the font size

Well, first thinks first, welcome to the site.

As far as the ground goes, you probably need to get out your meter and hit it to see if you are getting a signal from the boost sensing part to the pl where it is hooked In. Then you need to program that part of the pl to be looking for the boost input. I am sure it is in the instructions I downloaded off the turbo tweak site.

What map sensor are you using?

wire in a voltmeter to test and get into some boost
or use a bunch of fittings, an air compressor and a regulator

I believe you need to set up the scaling in Power logger for your sensor? Somebody move versed can expand on that.

Boost signal for power logger must go thru the analog block. In other words, if you tapped the signal wire behind the glove box, that signal wire then goes to the analog block.  I don't remember the position in the block. 5 volts to the sensor.  Check black and grey wire for 5 volts at the sensor mounted to the passenger firewall. You can check the signal voltage by putting a meter on the green wire while the sensor is plugged in with the key on and then grounding your meter to the black wire or somewhere on the chassis. Preferably, the negative side of the battery
