Any of you guys have one laying around that I could buy from you on the cheap? I thought I'd ask before I take my chances with complete strangers on Ebay.

As close to nothing as possible. I only need it to be able to get online and shoot the shit with you dumbasses....t hat's it. I'll buy a more capable unit later.

I dont know much about upgrading laptops but hopefully you'll just have to upgrade over time...some rem here....a new processor there. Swap the cd drive for a dvd.
