Can’t get a 87 buick 120 amp on the island this week
What is a possible replacement I might find?
Arizona GN109 forged rotating assembly
DLS 210-210
Champion irons
Extreme Auto stage II trans and converter

Why not rebuilt your original Alternator?
Or is it damage beyond repair?
87 GN T-Top, ScanMaster, hot-wire kit, Full Throttle chips w/ matching 60# injectors, adj. fuel pump, and triple pod gauges w/ AEM A/F gauge, oil pressure gauge, vac/boost gauge, Kenne Belle rear seat brace, upgraded tranny w/ Art Carr pan cover, and a pre-lube oil system.

See if they have one for a 94-96 impala.  Better alternator all the way around and 140 amps with a lot more at idle

If you're stuck any 1 wire alternator will work. A 105 works fine also in a pinch. Even 1 off a front wheel drive car but you may have to ''reclock'' it .Cars like a buick ultra have 120 amp too.

Any junk yards where you’re at? I can pick up the 94-96 impala alternators for $25 here local

Ya junkyard price would be good.about 5 years back was a impala abandoned just below my house wish I new about the alternator fitting got a bunch of hardware think the alternator was junk.

Only issue I have with the 94-96 Impala 140amp alternators are not being able to use the rear support bracket that bolts the assembly to the manifold stud.
You're OK, As long as you're running HR Parts Poly engine mounts, but if you are still using a ratcheting strap to minimize engine movement then you've got a concern as the extra stress / torque over on the unsupported alternator assembly could lead to an early demise.

I quit using torque straps after it broke the ear off the end of the accessory bracket.  Seems the bracket was not engineered to hold the torque of a decent engine when the tires stick on launch.  That was about 25 years ago.


I remember others about the same time learned that lesson  :rofl: I later went to a single poly mount.
