Can anyone identify this transmission?
« on: March 10 2016, 10:46:38 PM »
I have a TH200-4R that I want to rebuild to put in an El Camino. I'd like to know what I'm starting with, but so far I have been unable to decode the S/N. The scheme doesn't match anything I've found on the web. It's S/N is:

300-871CCF0793

Anyone know what car was a CCF? Or anything else from this S/N?

Thanks,

Joe

Should be decent internals as it appears to be an 87 model. Not sure on the ccf. I'm guessing you don't know what it came out of. It should have the updated pump and such. I'd still look to put in new hard stator support and hard sunshell during the over haul. Check out my build thread and post up your questions. I'll try to help.

In the last two years, we've all went with CVT transmissions.
