General Buick Tech / Intake Spacers??

What is the main advantage to use a 1" or 1.5" spacer other than a bit more air. Does it even help on a car running high 10's low 11's other than the convienence of tapping into it for vacuum sources to keep it cleaner looking under the hood?
When do they become really beneficial HP wise? 600-700-800HP?
I was looking at a 1.5" Champion tapped for Vac lines so the top hat on TB could be tossed having a cleaner looking engine. I dont see any other real gains for my situation since I race it so rarely now anyways. Probably more just for looks in my case but any chance it would help with the RJC Plate? Thanks!

Why is it in Libiya the rebels want help from other countries like USA, Canada, Italy, etc BUT NONE of the good Neighbors are lifting a finger except to send Mercenaries?? What about all the protesters from Egypt, Iran, Dubai etc etc sitting & doing Nothing to help??

Maybe, just maybe?? so no matter the Outcome they can blame the US in some way, shape or form?
 I say let them Kill each other & lets take care of our own problems at home with Mexico etc. The middle east cares less about them even tho they Protest at Home for Attention so WHY does the USA & Canada care so much???
PLEASE DO NOT SAY the 2% OIL they sell us!!   :rolleyes:

General Buick Tech / Beehive Roller Springs??

Anyone hear stories of the springs not lasting more than 25K miles?? 210-215 cam?
Someone is trying to tell me they don't last??
Just like to confirm either way as mine are fine after 10K & track days to 6K rpm.

Hi Bob, I really need your advice on a serious problem:

I have suspected for some time now that my wife has been cheating on me. The usual signs: if the phone rings and I answer, the caller hangs up; she goes  out with the girls a lot. I try to stay awake to look out for her when she comes home but I usually fall asleep.

Anyway last night about midnight I hid in the shed behind the boat. When she came home she got out of someone's car buttoning her blouse, then she took her panties out of her purse and slipped them on.

It was at that moment crouched behind the boat that I noticed a hairline crack in the outboard engine mounting bracket.

Is that something I can weld or do I need to replace it?
